Religious Record Art Exhibit at Synchronicity Gallery, Los Angeles

At Process we've long been a fan of Christian record cover art, and we ourselves have quite a collection of it at the compound--more than 200 different record covers, from vanity press family groups and tent preacher exorcisms to Christian ventriloquists, evangelical outlaw stars like Tony Alamo, to Jesus Freak rock operas--many bursting with a distinctive creativity and style unique only to them. These covers--and the music inside--tell far more about the real, forgotten Christian culture of America in the 60s and 70s than the homogenized Evangelical hype we've been fed since the mid-eighties.
And now, glory be, there's going to be an exhibit of religious record covers in LA on Friday, March 13, in conjunction with the Edge of Faith tour. There will likely be some Feral Process compound covers in the show. Hope you'll join us at the opening!
This came out in the LA Times earlier this week....
